Rebekah Robertson - When change starts close to home

Rebekah Robertson is an actor, author and activist. Her book About A Girl- A Mother’s Powerful Story About Raising Her Transgender Child details her incredible relationship with her daughter Georgie. Together they challenged the Family Courts decree that children must apply to them before accessing puberty blockers. In 2012 Rebekah founded Transcend Australia, the first organisation to support the families of transchildren. It wasn’t an easy path but Rebekah’s actions have made the world a better place for transchildren and their families across Australia. To learn more about where this incredible woman found the strength to fight an adversarial court system and toxic public debate check out my article on Substack.
